4th of July posts
My 4th of July in China was almost non-existant and this makes me feel better.

Indian Giving
- Stephen: I got you a present! (hands me a notebook that looks like a lego block)
- Me: Really? Thanks! This is actually really cool.
- Stephen: I'm glad you like it. ...You can't keep it though.
- Me: ...
Super awesome fun stuff
MY FRIEND STEPHEN IS VISITING ME. MY FRIEND STEPHEN IS VISITING ME. MY FRIEND STEPHEN IS VISITING ME!
I’m so happy-sad. This kid is one of my favorite people in life and I’m SO pumped that I get to see him. Though it might be the last time in a while :(
Also, he’s not quite just “visiting”, he’s like moving into my apartment indefinitely so that’s really fun hahah.
Anyway, we have a lot of super awesome fun stuff planned. And it’s 端午节 HOLLER. I’ll try to take pictures.
More things:
MY PARENTS ARE VISITING ME IN CHINA AT THE END OF THE SUMMER WHAAAAT? I can’t even believe it.
Hi
The internet situation in my apartment is really abysmal. For the past week I haven’t really been able to get an internet connection. If I’ve been MIA that’s why.
Chinese lolz
I was describing my apartment to someone in Chinese, and I accidentally said that I had a “chef” instead of “kitchen” …hahah oops.
Chinese 7UP Commercial
七喜圣诞许愿活动广告
This is probably one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen in my life…
Hi, I’m so addicted to this “tiny guitar,” I can’t stop. :p
Last week I learned 《老鼠爱大米》and yesterday my roommate told me, since I play it like 10x a day, it’s always stuck in his head. He’ll try to think of another song, but then the 《老鼠爱大米》melody always comes back. Hahah #oops
冷笑话
有个人在医院输液,输着输着就开始狂笑。医生问笑什么。他说, “我笑点滴*”
…
I tried to tell this joke to my Chinese class, and no one laughed …not even my teacher. haha oops #epicfail
*To get this joke, you have to know that 笑点滴 means “I’m laughing at my IV drip” and has the same pronunciation as 笑点低, which is a phrase used to describe someone who laughs a lot.
I love fishes because they’re so delicious! The snack that smiles back?
Kyle got these “fish snacks.” I like the concept, but they’re a little too salty for my taste.
